CNUDD is the body that coordinates and represents at the national level the policies and activities of Italian universities regarding the inclusion of people with disabilities.
Established in 2001, in implementation of Law no. 17 of 28 January 1999, it promotes the role of Delegates for disability and supports universities in developing actions aimed at ensuring the right to education through dedicated measures, services, and tools.
The Conference fosters dialogue among universities and contributes to defining shared guidelines for inclusion and full participation in university life.

CNUPP, established within the Conference of Italian University Rectors in 2018, coordinates the activities of universities involved in higher education within the prison system.
The network promotes the right to education for people in detention or subject to restrictions on personal freedom, supporting the development of Prison University Hubs and fostering the exchange of experiences at the national level.
Through guidance, research, and promotional activities, CNUPP contributes to strengthening the role of universities in inclusion and social reintegration pathways.

RUNIPACE is the network promoted by the Conference of Italian University Rectors to support the culture of peace, human rights, and international cooperation.
The network promotes initiatives and actions inspired by the principles of the Italian Constitution and major international charters, with the aim of reducing inequalities, fostering dialogue among peoples, and contributing to the creation of a more just and inclusive society.

RUS is the network promoted by the Conference of Italian University Rectors in 2016 to coordinate and enhance universities’ commitment to environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

The University of Florence is a member of the international Scholars at Risk network, which brings together universities committed to protecting academic freedom and supporting at-risk scholars.
The network promotes temporary hosting programmes for academics coming from contexts where freedom of research and expression is restricted, and develops awareness-raising and advocacy activities on academic freedom.
The University of Florence is part of the national “Smoke Free” university network, aimed at promoting smoke-free academic environments.
The network supports the development of shared policies and actions for tobacco prevention, through information campaigns, awareness-raising initiatives, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles within the university community.
The University of Florence participates in the UNISPORT network, which promotes the development of university sports at the national level.
The network encourages the spread of sports participation among students, supports the balance between academic studies and competitive sports, and contributes to defining policies and organizational models for the university sports system.
